I have been excited since Thursday when it was re-introduced, but did not have time to blog about it. Still don't have time to go into detail about it right now, but I am VERY EXCITED!
And I think I have been given some signs that the DREAM act will pass this year.
I went home on Thursday, and my mom was folding clothes from the dryer. She came upon this shirt, and she asked whose it was. My 16-year-old sis looked at it, and said, "I think that's yours, Mama." I looked at it, and said, "yup that's yours, although I haven't seen you wear it in years." I laughed at the irony and coincidence of the shirt.
This shirt says, "I am the American Dream" with stars and fireworks in the background. It looks kind of kiddy, with the font and background.
Since no one claimed the shirt, I asked, "Can I have it?"
And now, it's mine. Yes, I am the American Dream. We DREAMers are the American Dream.
This must be a sign. It's too much of a coincidence that this shirt has somehow made it out of the closet after many years being buried in the depths of the closet.
